Salaverryis aport townlocated 14 kilometres (8.7mi) southeastTrujillocity in theLa Libertad Region,Peru. It is the capital ofSalaverry Districtand it is located at around8°13′16″S78°58′34″W. The port, rebuilt in the 1960s by an English company is able to accommodate large ships including tourist ships as those of the Carnival Company.
